The Withering Away of the Old World
Our world must make way for the new Heaven and new Earth.
This is rather like the dentist telling you that your teeth are fine, but the gums have got to go. God is telling us that we are all OK, but the world has got to go. Don’t look now, but the rug is about to be pulled out from under us.
There are two ways for God and us to go about this: fast or slow. The fast method would be real easy. All we have to do is get Bill or Boris to push the red button. That would send most all of us to the Happy Hunting Ground in a hurry. The new Heaven and new Earth would be more problematic. It might take us all a long time to regroup to the point that we could undertake some serious reality engineering. More likely we would become alien refugees into other worlds, and have to relive another history, hoping for better luck with the eschaton the next time around.
In the slower scenario, which I recommend, we start with the reality engineering ASAP, and take things one step at a time, keeping everyone on board, at least until we are well into the separation phase.
Are we ready to start? After you!
All of us already have our reality engineer’s hats. We have been running this locomotive in our sleep, perhaps literally, and now that we are waking up to our responsibilities we just need to rediscover which levers to pull and when.
Our first job is not to run head-on into the Eschaton, and so far we seem to be doing pretty well, as long as nobody down here or up there pushes that red button.
Our next job is to begin to understand the theory behind reality engineering and then begin to apply it. Many pieces to this puzzle already exist, what we have been missing is the larger picture on the lid which will help us put the whole thing together. The purpose of this web site is to outline the larger picture.
I would argue that we are witnessing an irreversible paranormal creep. Periodically societies do experience increased involvement with things paranormal and spiritual. But this time will be different. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, we will pass a threshold at a point where the reality of paranormal phenomena can no longer be denied by the bulk of the scientific community. Once that scientific barrier has been breached, the pace of expansion of the paranormal will accelerate and gradually it will supplant the normal world in our experience, all this occurring within the time frame of several decades. This could happen more quickly in the event of some global crisis, but that would inflict more trauma than is really necessary. The smoother we can make this transition, the better off we will all be.
The foregoing scenario is the best we can expect for our close encounter with the eschaton. Keeping it that way will be our biggest and final historical challenge.
