The idea of the grail stone brings me back to the issue of the stargate that I broached several months ago. Now I am strongly inclined to say simply that the stargate is the grail.

The stargate is our eternal clandestine link to the cosmos, which over the years has taken many forms. Its latest incarnation is after the fashion of the movie by the same name and it is sequestered in the southwest desert. Even with no direct knowledge, we can be reasonably confidant of its existence just based on general considerations. The eschaton will follow directly in the aftermath of the disclosure of the grail/stargate.

If reality is relational the outstanding feature of our subset of reality is its apparent isolation from the larger reality. This is an unnatural state of affairs implying a deliberate arrangement. The isolation is temporal in nature and is overcome at its two ends. Time in the large is multidimensional and multiply connected, and our linear time frame is a tunnel between larger domains.

I suggest that structural integrity requires that a significant core of the larger reality serves as a backbone for the time tunnel that is our history. This would be particularly relevant at the two ends of the tunnel where lagging and leading cores could take a form as definite as a physical stargate. Toward the midsection there might only be well-maintained, clandestine channels of communication providing a minimal degree of deliberate direction. Such is the bare reality behind the smokescreen of mythologies, secret societies and conspiracy speculation.

In this scenario, it is the expansion and final uncovering of the sequestered link that is the trigger for the eschaton. The stargate can be viewed then as a preordained doomsday device. The manner of its disclosure could strongly influence the outcome of the eschaton. If there were to be an eschatological messianic figure, it would most likely emerge in the disclosure process, or perhaps even instigate it. The messianic input should probably be welcomed as a necessary and mitigating aspect of an otherwise overwhelming and impersonal cosmic process.

This scenario does impose strong constraints on our inevitable and impending cosmic end game. One can only wonder at this point whether the imminent calendrical coincidence is a part of the game plan.
