The Crux of our Reality
The X event is what holds our world together. As the revelation of its mystery begins to unfold, we can start the process of dismantling this world and the reconstruction of multiple interconnected worlds. We will gradually come to see where each of us fits into the greatly expanded reality. These worlds will, in turn, be seen as integrated into an even larger cosmic unity which is in a continual process of self-renewal.
The X event reflects and is even the guarantor of that larger unity. There may be multiple worlds, but there cannot be more than one cosmos. This is not merely a matter of semantics, but of profound metaphysical necessity. It has to do with the ultimate structure and source of consciousness.
Elsewhere [and here] I have spoken of a polytheistic, or more precisely a polyandrous, cosmology. That was said in a spirit of democratic cosmopolitan generosity. If I were to take a coldly objective and logical point of view, that assessment would have to be modified.
The X event is self-contained and all encompassing in a fashion that is not favorable to imaginable alternatives. The theme of the sacrificial king has been played out in human mythology in myriad ways, none of which could hold a candle to the reality.
I would suggest that the wild diversity of human history holds a special place in any conceivable cosmic ensemble. It reckons to be the microcosm among all microcosms. E pluribus unum. That the all in all might be revealed as Christocentric is a possibility that any logician would be loath to rule out. Yes, sports fans, this is where and when all the cosmic chickens must come home to roost. They will soon be crawling out of the woodwork. This is where the action is. If you had been counting on a little R&R this time out, it looks as though you managed to pick the wrong horse!
