Urgency?
I continue to be impressed by and to impress upon others the urgency of reconsidering the consensus presumption that our world is a physical object. If this reconsideration need not be an intellectual and spiritual priority then this is an auspicious occasion for skeptics to give their reasons. One might at least state why silence on this topic is not indicative of considerable uncertainty or confusion.
Discussing the new world-view
I believe it is urgent for us to begin the public consideration of a new world-view. I am looking to gain some assistance for this from the academic, religious and political communities. At present my only request to these communities is for a modest degree of access to a few individuals for private conversations on the issues. Such interaction would be beneficial and perhaps necessary in enabling me to represent the issues in public.
In light of the potential significance of this new paradigm, I believe that the above request is indeed modest, perhaps it is asking for too little, too late.
With particular reference to the academic community, the debate over the various forms of materialism and immaterialism that are of concern to me have been taking place among philosophers for as long as there have been philosophers. By considering the historical and cosmic implications I am bringing a new sense of immediacy to this issue, and seeking to extend the audience beyond professional boundaries.
